This is a key role within the Inbound Scheduling team. The successful incumbent is a vital link between transportation, vendors, replenishment and DC’s. The main focus of this role is to create accurate and reliable DC receiving schedules with emphasis on the DC caps and prioritizing of all PO’s.

Job Description: Transportation Route and Crew Scheduler

Education: High School Diploma
Average Salary: $33.23 per hour
Certifications: Not Regulated
Approximate Demand: Less than 1500 per province per year

Main Duties of Transportation Route and Crew Scheduler:

  1. Organizing and monitoring workloads and tasks.
  2. Keeping track of available equipment, vehicles, and crew.
  3. Creating, mapping, and adjusting routes and schedules to ensure efficiency and meet all necessary requirements.
  4. Assigning crews to equipment and vehicles.
  5. Coordinating with authorities to block off roads or redirect traffic when necessary.
  6. Distributing routes and schedules to operators and passengers.
  7. Monitoring progress and adapting schedules to account for obstacles and complications.
  8. Communicating and supporting the crew.
  9. Coordinating and scheduling the delivery and return of equipment and vehicles.
  10. Obtaining quotes from transport vendors.
  11. Maintaining records and daily traffic logs.
  12. Analyzing schedule adherence and passenger or freight loads to improve future scheduling.
