As a Load Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and assigning drivers based on operational needs and ensuring that loads are completed efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multiple systems and applications. - Obtain update from prior shift (including DP times, load types, non-retail load update, other critical information)
- Review operational +/-, identify labour required by load time availability
- Review emails, confirm all loads are printed and drivers are assigned a match (reconcile), ensure loads are being completed
- Sort time sheets by driver Hours of Service (HOS) availability (fresh or return)
- Organize retail loads, non-retail loads and consolidate
- Select drivers based on operational needs and assign suitable route
- Assign drivers via driver app (see Driver App process for details)
- Provide update to following shift upon their arrival (including DP times, load types, non-retail load update, other critical information)
- Answer incoming calls as needed
- Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
Experience Requirements:
Prior experience in a transportation environment is preferred
