Job Description:

The role of the pharmacy technician is to aid the pharmacy in the production of prescriptions and provide optimal customer service.

Job Responsibility:

Receive customer prescriptions and gather necessary information
Maintain patient and drug information files
Check pharmaceutical products prepared by other technicians
Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products
Prepare prescription labels and affix labels to containers
Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding payments
Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications
Price prescriptions and handle general filing
Stock medications and monitor inventory
Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality

Experience Requirements:

Registered pharmacy technician certification
Knowledge of professional discipline and technical specialties
Experience with HealthWatch is an asset
