Job Description:

As an HR Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to support up to 2 HR departments as you rotate throughout the term of your co-op. You will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting with various HR initiatives and projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.


Job Responsibility:

  • Support up to 2 HR departments by providing administrative support and first level support to HR Business Partners
  • Coordinate and follow through on various Human Resources activities and projects
  • Gather and analyze data related to compliance, individual development plans, exit interviews, training, and more
  • Resolve payroll inquiries and update colleague information in Workday
  • Review and update org charts
  • Revamp onboarding and training guides
  • Support colleague engagement survey and generate reports
  • Assist with talent review process
  • Provide administrative support for training sessions and events
  • Continuing education through Loblaw e-learning courses and other training opportunities


Educational Requirements:

Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and acquired (or working towards) HR Management Certification


Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong integrity and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Digital literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of databases and reporting tools
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-focused and able to build positive relationships
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
